If you don’t envision a nursery for your baby that includes teddy bear and flower themes designed using the standard pink and blue pastels, you may want to consider modern crib bedding. Modern crib bedding sets from these and other designers include a wide variety of patterns, colors, and themes to suit any decorating taste.
Several modern crib bedding designers have created sets that focus mainly on interesting geometric shapes and patterns in a wide variety of colors combinations. Glenna Jean’s Metro crib bedding, for example, is a combination of tan, cream, brown, and light blue circle patterned and solid fabrics. JoJo Design’s Modern Polka Dots crib bedding includes bold brown and pink dot fabric accented with striped and mini dot patterned fabric in tan, chocolate, cream, and pink. In addition to these examples of modern crib bedding there are also many designs that include interesting patterns, themes, and color combinations. JoJo Designs’ Velvet Dreams is a rich looking set with navy squares of velvet outlining navy checked fabric with gold velvet accents. Glenna Jean’s Keyed Up is a set in light blue and brown accented with a modern print of the symbols like the asterisk and ampersand that appear above the numbers on a keyboard.
If you are looking for something besides the tradition pink and blue crib sets with stuffed animal and sports themes you may want to consider modern crib bedding. Several designers have created crib bedding sets with interesting themes and more sophisticated color combinations. Although you can still find animal and flower accents, modern crib bedding puts more emphasis on shapes, patterns, and subdued color combinations. If your decorating taste is more modern and you can’t imagine a nursery decorated with pink or blue bears and bunnies, modern crib bedding may be the perfect alternative when decorating your child’s nursery.
